Tattoos: Love it or Hate it
When it comes to tattoo, you either love it or hate it. Those who love it believe it is an art; those who hate it think it is stupidity.
Getting a tattoo on your skin is addicting. It is normal to see a person have more than one tattoo. I see people have tattoos in different places – behind the ear, at the lower spine, even at places you would think are sensitive. Also, I see people who have their entire arms or torso covered with tattoos. Some have their whole bodies inked. I can only wonder if they miss their bare skin.
I personally choose not to have a tattoo but I know some very decent people who do. Getting a tattoo nowadays is not a question of righteousness. It just boils down to preference. The society tolerates it more and more.
Ink needling through the pigments of one’s skin is painful and somehow the result makes the pain worth it. To some people the pain is exhilarating and liberating. As we always say: No pain, no gain.
A tattoo is truly an expression of one’s self. And since it is supposed to be an ink printed on the skin for eternity, it is supposed to be meaningful to a person.
I learned that an art piece is an investment so you really have to think before buying one. Get something that makes you feel good (if not great). Like after a long day, you come home and you see the art piece and it helps you unwind. Also, get something that you will enjoy for a long time (if not forever). Remember, it’s supposed to be an investment so ideally, it should add up in value over time. And lastly, get something that you will be proud of.
This holds true for tattoos. And so much more because it’s in your skin.
