The sunny season is here. But before you head off to the beach or the pool, you have to have that perfect swimsuit.

You may be thinking of going shopping or checking out swimsuits online. The models on TV or the internet should inspire you in buying swimsuits. When you see that a swimsuit looks good on the model, you will rush out and buy it. Wrong. Your body is not the same as anyone’s, much more swimsuit models.

It’s good to look online because it will have reviews from real persons who have bought the swimsuits. But as long as you can, you should go out and buy from the store so you can try them on. You know your body and you know perfectly well what looks and feels looks good on you. Interestingly, the swimsuit industry has come up with different varieties and you will most definitely find something for you.

Things to consider in buying a swimsuit:

1.       Fit. The swimsuit should not be too big or small. It should fit you well and must move with your body.

2.       Comfort.  The swimsuit should be like your second skin and you should feel that it is.

3.       Support. The swimsuit should support your body well, especially in the bust area. This goes hand in hand with comfort.

4.       Flatter. The swimsuit should flatter your figure. Wear a swimsuit that makes you look slimmer and curvier.

5.       Flaunt. If you know you have great abs, nice back, or shapely shoulders, buy a swimsuit in a style that will flaunt your best asset.

Most women have gained an inch or two in their waistline because of the lull of the previous season. If this is the case, here are some slim-down tips:

·         Don’t wait until you are hungry to eat. If you wait before you are hungry to eat, you will most likely gobble up the food and overeat.

·         Prepare yourself small portions. In Paul McKenna’s rule, you should stop eating if you are full. But it is better not to have too many in your plate. This way, you will not be compelled to eat all that is in your plate when you are full.

·         Decline the soda. Soda contains calories and will help if you eliminate those in your diet. If you are one who drinks diet soda, then you avoid the artificial sweetener, which is not good for you, anyway.

·         Go easy on sweets. This may be hard for some but the sacrifice will be worth it.
