Turnkey Websites
Turnkey websites give people with no internet expertise a chance to start a website business.
A turnkey website is a website that is readymade and loaded with products or links that are supposed to make you money. All you need is to buy it and after you choose a domain name and personalize some aspects, it is ready to run. The site where you bought your website from will do the hosting and the maintenance for you so you don’t have to do anything. Ideally, you just have to sit and wait for the money to pour in.
I’m kind of against turnkey websites. Having a fully loaded website does not translate into profit. You can have the finest website but if it is not optimized, then it will not bring the projected financial results. The downside of having a turnkey website is that if you have no knowledge on internet marketing, the website or the business will fail. There are millions if not billions of websites out there and your website needs to be have its presence known. If no one knows about it and nobody would look at it, then it is good as nothing.
I did buy a turnkey website once and learned that my website had multiple duplicates over the internet. I found out that my website is not exclusive to me because I share it with other website owners. I realized that my website has a lesser value than the websites done for the sole purpose and command of the owner. Turnkey websites will never be unique. So I asked, if people can access the same web page from other sources, what is my advantage over others? Does having a pretty name make a difference? What can I do to stand out?
Here’s where promotion and advertising comes in. And here is where the real work comes in. A pretty design is not enough it should be optimized. That’s why there is this process called search engine optimization (SEO). It is only by knowing how this works that we can have a chance to compete with others.
SEO is the process of making your website ranked at the very top of the search engines using the very system these search engines use to index the websites. Search engines use an algorithm or formula of keyword content, position and density.
If you still believe than owning a turnkey website is the best for you, then take time to look around, check forums and see what people are saying. Be sure to sign up with the most excellent turnkey package. You can do this by comparing as many turnkey sites as possible. You should go for the one with a terrific customer support so you can ask all your questions. Always be certain you are getting your money’s worth.
