My Favorite TV Shows
I used to think watching television is just something to do when you have nothing to do at all. I found out that it is true.
I practically began watching TV about two years ago when I became homebound due to pregnancy and on to motherhood. Now, not only is TV a big part of my everyday life but my baby’s as well. Here are my favorite shows:
The Real Housewives of Orange County. I like the fact that most of them are rich because they work for it. It’s simply working for the money and having fun spending it. It’s women power.Top Chef. I got interested with gourmet cooking and preparation because of Top Chef. Something that is not my cup of tea and out of my league – cooking. But Padma Lakshmi is very refreshing. She is the only Padma more beautiful the the princess in Star Wars.
Without A Trace. I watch the reruns everyday from Monday to Friday at 1 PM on TNT. I like the beginning of the show where someone just vanishes from the scene and the next thing is, the FBI agents are down to the site to figure it out. I like the character of Samantha Spade played by Poppy Montgomery. Cool, kind, smart – not to mention that she is a beautiful blonde.
American Idol. Who doesn’t? It’s funny, exciting and entertaining. I may say, it’s comedy, suspense, and drama rolled into one. You get to see someone’s rise to stardom. And you also get to vote who you want to win.
Chicago Hope. When I was pregnant, I watched the reruns on Discovery Health every weekday morning. Compassionate, sensible, and intelligent doctors bound by (and are sometimes against) the rules of the hospital and society. They’re the most likable doctors I knew and it’s just a pity they are all actors.
Little People, Big World. I like the Roloff family. I like Matt and Amy; I like their kids: Jeremy, Zack, Molly, and Jacob. Despite the uniqueness of being little people, here’s a family showing us that it’s not the size but the heart that matters.
Jon and Kate Plus 8. Raising sextuplets compared to my only one makes me thankful and amused. But more than the sextuplets, I’m more fascinated with the twins’ difference in personality. Each episode, Kate shares interesting views and style of her own parenting and raising a family. Makes me wonder what goes on when the production crew is not around and the cameras are out.
I also like watching documentary shows of the Duggars. If my children are all healthy, nice, and easy to train like those kids, I wouldn’t mind having 17 children of my own.
