Enjoy the Gift of Parenthood
Love her, hold her, kiss her a lot, because she will grow up so fast. Words from a mother of seven children.
Becoming a parent is a gift. You can only return the favor in one way. Love your child.Loving a child comes with a web of joy, fulfillment, privilege, accountability, and obligation. No parent has never ever suffered as a consequence of loving a child. From the moment the child is conceived, the mother has to give up certain rights and comfort for the sake of the child. The father, too, has his own share of burden and adjustments to make.
When the child is born, the family routine must be re-structured around the baby’s schedule. The living space must be modified to fit with the baby’s needs and safety. Finances are concentrated to the baby’s necessities. The child comes first at every level.
As the child grows, the parents should provide a loving and nurturing environment for the child to live in. Whatever person the child grows into is dependent on the upbringing set by the parents. While the child is young, the parents should model good behaviors, healthy habits, and ethical values.
We, parents, are superheroes in the eyes of our children. They rely on us, take comfort in us, feel safe with us, and love us unconditionally. All these come with the package. All these come with having children. When we love our children back and put their welfare ahead of us, that’s when we valiantly return the blessings of parenthood.
