Bride and Wedding Planner

image The wedding planner is the bride.

What the bride wants is what the the bride gets. You can have it all when you plan your own wedding.

Planning a wedding where you are the bride is common. Why hire help when you can do it? Many hands-on women who are used to calling all the shots take on the work of the wedding planner so they can micromanage everything. Doing so lets them know every detail and eliminate the hassle of changing something at the very last minute.

It also makes sense to be your own wedding planner when you are working with budget constraints.  It ensures that every penny allocated to the wedding is made to good use. When the budget is limited, you have to maximize it and hiring a wedding planner is not really sensible.

Here are some tips to consider in when you are a first time wedding planner and a bride rolled into one:

1.       Give it time. When you have time in your hands, you can avoid rushed decisions and that would save you from costly and painful mistakes.

2.       Deliberate. You know what you want but sometimes, you are not sure. It’s good to sleep over an idea or ask what your loved ones think of it.

3.       Accept help. People like to get involved in weddings and you can use a pair of hands or two when yours are full. Don’t worry if you turn other people down. They would understand that you want to get what you want. They would do the same at their own wedding.

4.       Invest in yourself. A wedding is about the bride. Do what you can to stay fit, healthy, and happy before the wedding. Giving yourself time to relax and unwind is important.

5.       Let go. Do all you can to the best of your ability before the wedding but on the day of the wedding, don’t stress out. Planning is over and the role of a bride takes place. Enjoy your special day, have fun, and be at the moment.

The key word here is planning. If you plan well, you would get the most success at your wedding. But of course, there will be unavoidable circumstances. Dealing with them with grace is the best that you can do.
